The benefits of using a cork yoga brick.

Yoga bricks & blocks are probably the most commonly used yoga props. They help to bring the floor closer to you in standing poses and provide additional support in seated and reclined poses. In short, use a block any time your hands are otherwise unable to touch the ground in a pose. These asanas could be for example Standing Forward Fold, Downward Facing Dog or the Camel pose. See the pictures for variations.

Using yoga blocks will help prevent you from over-straining, improve your alignment, and get deeper into your poses to become more flexible. Of course, there are alternatives like resting your hands on your shins or ankle instead, but blocks provide much more stability and comfort and help you to improve your mobility faster.

We would also recommend yoga blocks for those who are struggling with sore joints. Sometimes asanas put too much pressure on your wrists and changing the position of your hands with the help of a yoga block may relieve this pressure. Yoga blocks are also suitable as meditation seats, helping to maintain a good meditation posture.

You can place any side of the brick against the floor, getting many different height options. Our yoga blocks come in three different shapes: the traditional brick shape, the oval shape and the flat one.

Cork is an ideal material for yoga blocks because it is durable, lightweight and safe to use. The soft but firm cork surface provides a good grip and does not scratch the floor or your yoga mat. The cork yoga bricks are sold individually, but we recommend purchasing two so you can have support for both hands if needed.
